If you missed the town hall you can watch the entire event below.
The Land Keepers Society hosted a Town Hall at the Cowichan Station Hub, August 14th between 7PM and 9PM. Everyone was encouraged to come with concerns, thoughts, and feedback.
The Cowichan Station Hub is located at 2375 Koksilah Rd, Duncan.
It was enlightening to attend a town hall where everyone’s views were really heard! Too many I have attended run by CVRD/N.Cowichan have a pre-determined outcome, so they can say they consulted the public and they agreed.
This town hall, set up by the PEOPLE was educati0onal and respectful of many varied views. Hopefully more of the public will attend citizen initiated meetings. Even a few politicians came, and they hopefully learned the issues, and will act in the best interests of those that pay them.
I believe the CVRD can be educated. Keep it up. Present them with aspects of future modeling they may have missed besides the loss of the land. What is the main basis for this crazy flood plan.
